David Karr graduated as an Industrial Engineer(BSc Eng-Mech in Ind Option) from the University of the Witwatersrand(Wits), Johannesburg in 1976. Further studies included a Diploma of Engineering(Wits 1979). To add a Diploma IV in Assessment and Training(Polytechnic West was attained in 2011.
Professional experience as an Engineer in Manufacturing & Services Industries included working over 23 years for companies such as Siemens, Colgate Palmolive(South Africa), Pirelli Cables and Canada Post(Canada), BOC Gases(Australia).
Setting up and running a successful Business Consultancy from 2000-Present promoting Business Improvement in various specialities for companies such as Perth Airport, BOC Gases(Bulk), Capral Aluminium, Edwards Solar Heating etc.
Undertook many passenger and process surveys at Perth Airport, leading to improved operations.
David also Lectured at TAFE in Engineering & Aviation from 2001-13 as a part lecturer specialising in business units for Aviation Management students.
Set up an Aviation Training Organisation
Undertaken various method and time and motion studies for large and medium sized manufacturing organisations
Assisted with various plant shutdown s projects developing schedule, tasks, job safety assessments etc
Interspacial Systems can undertake surveys relating the organisation operations leading to improvements within the organisation.
This leads to process, staff, equipment utilisation, information management, energy finance productivity gains by Utilising industrial engineering(IE), business process re-engineering(BPR) and lean management techniques.
