Simulating various organisation process situations, allows for valuable analysis of real life situations, either before changes are made or to existing situations.
Simulations permit managers to see what actually occurs. Any modifications in layout or process can be identified easily. This allows for optimisation of the process as well as preventing costly modifications or having to contend with substandard processes.
An example of a simulation is the processing of passengers at an airport check-in counter area.
